Melanie Webb – Founder And Author, Adventures in Mother Nature’s Gym

MELANIE WEBB is the Founder of Sol Fitness Adventures and has spent her 20-year career in the fitness and outdoor industries working to help others live happier, healthier lives and have personal experiences with what she likes to call Mother Nature’s Gym.

Melanie has trained and guided clients on both coasts of the U.S. and compiled an impressive list of media appearances and contributions including Good Morning America, IDEA Fitness Journal, DEPARTURES, Los Angeles Times, Outside, Real Simple, Appalachian Mountain Club and more. Melanie has shared her expertise with tens of thousands of online readers as a National Sponsored Athlete with ATHLETA, a Gap brand, and as Assistant Editor of Exercise & Fitness at AllThingsHealing.com.

Raised exploring Utah’s wild and scenic places, Melanie’s mentoring in the body arts began as a high school volleyball player at age 14. Physical therapists worked on chronic leg injuries and her coach introduced visualization techniques to improve performance. Defining moments in her athletic career include coming back from injury many times — like undergoing knee and shoulder reconstructive surgeries and overcoming adrenal fatigue. It was through the path of healing herself that Melanie broke from formulaic gym training regimens and discovered the restorative power of a masterfully-executed fitness regimen in combination with spending time outdoors.

An avid explorer, Melanie’s athletic pursuits have taken her on adventures around the globe. She currently lives and works in Salt Lake City, where she hikes, bikes, and stand up paddles her way through Utah’s spectacular outdoor playgrounds.
