Spending a winter training in the Eastern Sierra’s has been an epic opportunity to experience the earth and elements at their best. This year marks the most snowfall in recorded human history at Mammoth Mountain, with over 500 inches so far – and we’re only in March!
Whether I’m snowboarding the powder with clients or weathering a 3 day power outage during a storm that dropped 7 feet of snow in 3 days, I am continually reminded that there is a power greater than myself. And if I allow myself to sit very still, to hear the wind whistle through the trees while on a ski lift or during a walk into the Lakes Basin, I seek to “get their good tidings.”
