I revisted my fitness proving grounds this week and taught a stand up paddle lesson on the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. The guys at Jack’s Boathouse set us up with NSP boards and we set off up river on a sunny fall day. Amie got the hang of things quickly, just in time to set up for this picture framing the Washington Monument and Watergate Hotel, Memorial Bridge, and the Presidential helicopters flying overhead. Where else can you combine the zen of stand up paddling with such regal scenery? Only in the U.S.A. Baby!
