One of my favorite aspects of stand up paddling are the cool people I get to meet along the way. There’s my good friend Greg Miller, a premier instructor and life-long waterman tearing up white water on the Potomac River, the first person to introduce me to the sport. Laguna Beach’s Kristin Thomas, fellow Athleta Featured Athlete, who took up the sport in her late 40’s and has become the face of what passion for sport can accomplish. Santa Barbara’s Chris Gutzeit, founder of my favorite Carbonerro paddles, the lightest, fastest paddle on the market.
